Advances in stochastic models of manufacturing and service operations

Although the title includes both manufacturing and service operations, the main emphasis is on manufacturing system operations. The term “service system operations” is intended to refer mainly to functions that are supportive of manufacturing system operations. Manuscripts that focus on the integration of such functions with manufacturing system operations are particularly welcome. Manuscripts that focus on the operations of other non-manufacturing related service systems will also be considered as long as they demonstrate that these operations are strongly related to manufacturing system operations in terms of their characteristics and the methodologies used to analyze them.
